Listening to the song Kulumaha, which means "Go back home" in Bunun language.
It was the second time I returned to Mayuan tribe
For me, it was a totally different experience than the first one.
We brought 14 foreigners back home, making Mayuan a small world full of love and laughter.
Although it was a two-day trip, but I do believe we'd created the most unforgettable memory in our whole life.
The thing I remember the most is the foreigners told me that the noodles we ate in the tribe is much more delicious than the food in E-DA, plain and simple but it was added with the flavor of home and the flavor of love.
At that night, we sit around, listened to traditional Bunun's songs and danced 11 countries' AIESEC songs, besides languages, that was also a way for us to share our happiness and joy. Not to mention how good the BBQ was!!!!
We also went to the mountain of nowhere, just knowing that we should respect and be thankful to the god of our earth, our country and even our hometown.
People kept silence and walked slowly just to make sure every companions were safe at that time, we all worked together to look for prey, although we got nothing at the end, this memory still remains.
After that we sang songs from 11 countries and had fun with the hunters. That was the first time I truly believe planetarium isn't lying at all, millions, billions or even trillions of stars were above the sky shining like diamonds. It doesn't matter that we live in different countries, we still share the same sky, and it'll remind us the night we had in the mountain. A night full of fun and laughter.
"Be the one you want to be."
I want my life to be meaningful and without regret, so that's the reason why I chose to jump from the three-stories cliff.
Yes, I was frightened, but I conquered my fear and jumped. At that moment, I just wanna say that "Thank God for blessing me not to hit the stones with my head." and "Gosh! I can really open my eyes and swim in the water, the movies aren’t lying!!!"
We live in different countries, we speak different languages, we have different culture.
But we respect, we listen, we are willing to try, to accept the culture of Bunun.
So that's the reason why we created a small family including people from 11 countries. That's the reason why we made those days memorable.
Welcome back home to Taiwan, to Mayuan.
